Mike's Comments (rates this release 4.5/5.0)
Prince had the Paris show professionally recorded as he intended to release it, or most of it, as a live album. It was just one of his many ideas that never came to fruition, and given how he tends to release live recordings (hugely overdubbed and sterilised) that's probably just as well. The show itself is excellent and if he had released it as it is here, without any overdubs at all, it would have made a nice album. The remaining material on this set is availale on various other bootlegs, in similar sound quality to here, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have it all rounded up together into a consistent set.
