This release has two excellent shows taken from a satellite
broadcast. The shows are very different and very enjoyable. The package is also
above average. A number of great jams including a rework jam of Shoop.

These are both excellent shows. The June 8th show has a little
better sound quality, but (IMO) the show on the 9th has the better content of
the two, including a couple of rare live performances of Hide The Bone and
Ripopgodazippa. The 12+ minute "cover" of Salt N Peppa's Shoop! is also a very
nice treat with Prince replacing the original lyrics with rap versions of his
own songs (Sexy MF, Gett Off, and Acknowledge Me). These shows are part of a
must see celebration of Prince's 1st birthday following his name change.

Two nice shows, the second and third of the Miami series of
shows. Much of this material was new to Prince at the time and he seems to
have got a kick out of playing it though the audience reaction is less
enthusiastic (only to be expected since they didn't know most of the songs).
'Loose' works well, as does 'Hide the bone' and 'Ripopgodazippa'. A soundboard
recording of part of the first show (from 8 June) is also on The
undertaker.
