Both of these shows are also in the Late Night Shows
Box, however I feel they have slightly better sound quality on this release.
Both shows have their benefits. The Houston show has better sound quality but
the the Tampa show had much better content. And both suffer from a lot of crowd
noise. The packaging is nice, but fairly average as a Thunderball release
goes. Marva sang vocal on the first three songs of the Houston show which
does include a nice version of I'll Take You There. There is a wild 12min jam
followed by Larry guesting on U Can Make If U Try. The Tampa show
includes a 19min jam of Thank U (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again) and a loose 16min
jam based around Flashlight. Unfortunately 777-9311 is barely played for almost
2min.

To me the best thing about this set is that
I was able to attend the show at The Roxy on New Year's Day (yes I said Day not
Eve, as the actual show didn't start until WAY after midnight [about 3:00 AM]).
The shows themselves are pretty cool, but as far as sound and content go they
aren't anything special. The packaging is pretty good though, and overall I
would recommend this release, just not highly.

Two
short aftershows, neither particularly outstanding. 'Playtime' is a Prince
original sung by Marva King, and was used to begin quite a few of the
aftershows from 1997 and 1998.
