Not a bad release from our friends at Ladybird, however it would have been hard even for them to fuck this one up. A nice collection of extended versions and remixes from singles from 94 East 'Just Another Sucker' through to 'Girl' from 1985. My main problem about this release is that a number of tracks suffer from audible vinyl crackling. It is most evident on both 'I Would Die 4 U' and 'God', and is something Ladybird really should have rectified before they released this. The packaging states that this is the "Definitive Remastered Edition"....sadly, I think not. Had this been definitive or remastered those faults wouldn't be so glaringly obvious. Everything from this set is also available on the superior SaTim release 'Prince 12" Archive V2.0', so I see no reason why anyone would choose this particular release. The accompanying artwork is fairly decent, however not terribly exciting. A good release, but with more effort could have (and should have) been far better.
